Waghounds is all about happy animals!
My name is Mehgan Laveck and I believe that all animals deserve qualified, compassionate care. I own and operate Waghounds, LLC.
I used to leave my dog Kaska (pictured) home alone while I worked. I wanted the best for Kaska, so I tried an expensive dog day care. I found that day care reinforced some bad habits and was simply overstimulating for my little hound.
I started Waghounds because I learned the value of dog walking firsthand! Walks provide low-stress mental and physical stimulation for dogs, and are the perfect opportunity for positive reinforcement training. Kaska and I are hooked.
Many of my wonderful clients have opened their homes to dogs from animal shelters. I’ve been a “Canine Coach” for Animal House Rescue since 2011. Canine Coaches are dog handlers who study rescue behavior with a certified dog trainer. We then donate a portion of our time each week to training dogs at the shelter.
I offer a lifetime of experience caring for animals, coupled with a calm and nurturing disposition. You’ll love my impromptu photo shoots, pet massages, and quirky notes.
